Fidelity issued the following statement today:

"This is to inform you that a large number of phishing emails have been received by Fidelity customers recently. The email directs them to a fake Fidelity login screen and reports that if they do not update their account, it will be suspended. This is not a legitimate Fidelity communication or website. A screen shot of this site is below for your reference.

Our Security groups are working on the problem, notified appropriate authorities, and are actively trying to shut down the sites.

During this phishing attack, we do wish for you or plan participants to forward the email to our risk group. So please direct them to forward it to investigat@fmr.com

In addition we wish to remind you and your plan participants to use https://www.fidelity.com to ensure you or they are always going directly to our site.

You can also visit our security site at https://fidelity.com/security to see additional steps to take in keeping their accounts secure."
