ABX Air is pleased to announce the opening of the ABX Air Pharmacy. The Pharmacy is operated by Walgreens and is located next to the Healthcare Center. Below are some of the more common questions and answers about the pharmacy.  


Q: Who can use the ABX Pharmacy?
A: It is open to all ABX employees and their dependents. In addition, DHL employees are welcome to use the pharmacy.

Q: Can I bring in any prescription or fill only those from the Healthcare Center?
A: You can bring any prescription to the pharmacy.

Q. What is the cost of a prescription?
A. All generic (tier 1) prescriptions cost $4 if you are enrolled in the Enhanced PPO, Value PPO, or Health Savings Account PPO plans. Brand name drugs (tier 2 and 3) cost the regular co-payment under your prescription plan.

Q. Can I purchase over-the-counter medications at the pharmacy?
A. Yes, you can buy many of your favorite over-the-counter medications such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen. The pharmacy will stock many of the same over-the-counter medications available at any retail pharmacy.    

Q. When is the Pharmacy open?
A. The hours are:
Monday: Noon to 8 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Q. Where can I find a list of the tier 1 drugs?
A. The United Healthcare drug list is published on myuhc.com and here on the ABX Benefits website.

Q. What forms of payments will the pharmacy accept?
A. The pharmacy can accept cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards. In addition, the pharmacy offers Walgreens express pay service. No payroll deductions will be permitted.

Q. How can I switch a current prescription to the pharmacy?
A. Just bring your prescription bottle to the pharmacy and the pharmacist will arrange to have your prescription transferred.
