Flu Shots Available @ Healthcare Center

2/11/2005

The ABX Air Healthcare Center now has flu shots available for employees and qualifying dependents. Recently, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) relaxed restrictions on who should get a flu shot due to an increased supply of the vaccine.

It is not too late to get a flu shot. Immunity from the flu can be achieved in as little as two weeks after receiving a flu shot. The flu season is expected to peak in March and last until April or May. Currently, the CDC is reporting localized outbreaks of the flu in Ohio, including Adams and Clermont counties. Kentucky is reporting widespread outbreaks.

If you would like a flu shot, please call the ABX Air Healthcare Center at (937) 283-9289 to schedule an appointment. Flu shots are available at no cost for employees and qualifying dependents.
