Employees in Wilmington may have heard media reports that Kettering Medical Center Network in Dayton, Ohio, is dropping United Health Care of Ohio (UHO). United Health Care of Ohio is the HMO product that was previously offered to ABX employees in Ohio.
In fact, Kettering Medical Center Network has announced that if they are unable to reach a successful contract with UHO they will drop UHO effective Feb. 28, 2002, for their Home Health Care, Substance Abuse and Mental Health services only. This does not affect regular medical services at the hospitals affiliated with Kettering Medical Center Network and DOES NOT affect the PPO product offered to ABX employees.
