Effective September 1, 2005, the Retirement Income Plan will close to new hires. No new participants will be permitted to enter this plan. A new defined contribution retirement plan is being introduced for employees hired on and after September 1, 2005. Highlights of the new plan include:

Eligibility: one year of service and 1,000 hours of service

Contribution: 5% of eligible pay for calendar year

Contribution date: After 12/31 of each year (must be employed on 12/31)

Vesting: To be determined

Employees hired before September 1, 2005, will continue to be eligible for the Retirement Income Plan provided all other eligibility requirements are satisfied. More information about the new program will be provided as it becomes available.
