Do I need a referral to see a specialist?
Unlike many managed care programs, the ABX Air insurance program does not require you to obtain a referral from your primary care physician. Although it is certainly a good idea to coordinate your care through your primary care physician, it is not necessary for you to obtain a referral to see a specialist.
