Employee Contribution Remain the Same is 2001

Despite a 15% increase in medical cost, the employee contribution for medical insurance will remain the same in 2001. Airborne will absorb the entire cost of the increase for employees. The $10 doctor office co-payment and $7 generic and $15 brand name prescription co-payments also will remain the same. This is a significant financial commitment by ABX for our employees. ABX will spend an additional $3.4 million in 2001 on employee medical claims for a total of $27 million.
