Monitoring & Recording Policy

Overview

At ABX we are committed to provide quality service and excellent customer satisfaction. The company provides and maintains various communication devices to assist us in meeting these service goals, and places certain restrictions on their use for the protection of the company and for the general good of the workforce. ABX reserves the right to monitor or to record telephone, voicemail, or other wire, oral, or electronic communications, such as fax, e-mail, or Internet transactions, for business purposes.

Core Requirements

  • The company's computer and telephone systems are the property of the company and are provided for business use.
  • ABX permits monitoring or recording by authorized management to assess productivity, to help train, to ensure excellent customer service, and to assure appropriate use of these resources.
  • Do not assume the ultimate privacy or confidentiality of any message you send or receive even though you may have your own passwords for accessing systems or have deleted the message.
  • Monitoring or recording for personal reasons is prohibited including unauthorized use of listening devices, tape recorders, or cameras, including digital camera cell phones.
  • If your position requires regular monitoring, you will be informed.

  • You may direct any questions related to this policy to your management.

Leadership Responsibility

  • Obtain permission from a vice-president or higher authority before monitoring, recording, or accessing an employee’s e-mail or voicemail.
