The staff of the Transition Center, Fidelity Investments, Right Management, and the State of Ohio offer a variety of workshops at the
on-site Transition Center in Wilmington (ILN). Classroom assignments are
subject to change; refer to the posted classroom schedules on
the date of your class for confirmation.

366-2665. All classes are provided free of charge to employees as part of the Air Park
Transition Center services. All sessions except the Transition Center
Orientation must be taken on personal time. |
Résumé Support - 3 hours
This session serves as an introduction to résumé writing techniques
including Internet-based résumés. Professional support is provided.
Job Skills Assessment - 3
hours
This session helps participants identify their interests, skills, personal
style, and key accomplishments to help describe their ideal work and
environment. This class

hours
This is an introduction to résumé writing techniques, including electronic
résumés. Professional support is provided. This class

Job Search / Networking
- 2 hours
This session covers how to use online and print research tools, as well as
ways to develop and work with contacts and networking lists. Participants
will identify new and creative ways of approaching traditional job search
methods such as ads, recruiters, and Internet job boards. This class
is available to noticed employees only.

Interviewing Skills
- 2 hours
Participants in this session will learn how to prepare for interviews with
practical information and tips for making a great impression. This class
is available to noticed employees only.

Career
Transition - 3-part class, 4 hours for each part
Part One provides an opportunity to review your work experience, evaluate
your skills, and develop the most effective résumé to market your
experience to potential employers.
Part Two covers the topics of conducting an Internet job search,
networking, job fairs, and working with recruiters.
Part Three covers the topics of interviewing and negotiation skills, and
gives you the opportunity to participate in a mock interview.

Retirement Options (ABX
employees) - 1 hour
This workshop is designed to help ABX Air employees decide what to do with
their retirement assets. Priority will be given to employees who
have been officially notified that their employment is ending; however,
any interested employee may sign up. Spouses are welcome to attend.

Rehabilitation Service Commission informational session
Monday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ABX Healthcare Center conference room
The ORSC is the state agency that helps people with disabilities get and
keep jobs. They would like to offer their assistance to eligible
employees. Any employee with questions regarding services or how to
qualify is invited to attend an informational meeting on Mon., Dec. 1.
Representatives will be available from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the
conference room at the ABX Healthcare Center next to Walgreen's Pharmacy,

Assistance Program (OTAP)
OTAP is a series of Veterans job search workshops sponsored by the Ohio
Department of Job and Family Services to help veterans and their spouses

A job search is a targeted marketing campaign. Find out how to motivate
yourself, how to find potential employers and how to sell yourself to
them.

the “rules” of the resume game and why you should consider having a
multiple format resume and a targeted cover letter.

Interviewing preparation and
follow-up – Find out what employers expect and how to put your best foot
forward during the all-important job interview.
The workshops include professional audio and video presentations,
hands-on workbook activities, and job search do’s and don’ts. The
workshops, manuals, and materials are FREE for veterans and their spouses!

Certification courses, including courses in Adobe
Acrobat Professional, Adobe DreamWeaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator,
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop & Photoshop Extended, Adobe After Effects,
and Adobe Premiere.
