EyeMed EOBs Go Green
We're excited to let you know about a coming change in how we provide Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents to our members.
As part of EyeMed's ongoing effort to minimize our impact on the environment, beginning May 8, 2012, all EOBs will automatically be provided to members in electronic format via our member website.
Previously, members received paper EOBs through the mail unless they specifically opted to receive them electronically.
In addition to the positive impact this change will have on the environment, it will also enhance the convenience of accessing and tracking EOBs for members. All EOB documents will be available to members by logging in to the EyeMed member website, 24/7, 365 days a year.
Also, members will no longer have to hold on to paper EOBs for their files. However, those who still prefer to receive EOBs through the mail may still do so.
